Long time

It's been a while now since I last wrote anything. Things have been going crazy and time has been short, yay.
Finally over with school and it looks like I will be studying Embedded Systems in Leicester soon.
Last week was insane, we had a philosophy festival which was all over town, everyone wanted sound and there were only three sound techs around(me being one of them).
Haven't added anything to my gallery, but there hasn't been too much to take pictures of. The summer finally hit us with a gigantic smack, it was into the thirties at it's highest, so I will probably take pictures of some nice flowers.

In other news, check out www.swellgaming.tk it's a gaming review site create by two of my friends (Omen and .:EoL:.)

Are we kill happy?

So GTA IV is out and the kill happy kids go nuts, heh. I think GTA is another game that some people can become addicted to, at least the media seem to. I can't go to a single news site or listen to a podcast on tech without hearing something about GTA. This to a degree annoys and frustrates me.
What is the big hype? It's a game people, come on!

Seems to be the random acts of violence and law breaking one can do. What is it with this, as soon as we(the human race) get a world where we can do what ever we want without thinking about the consequences, we start murdering, pillaging and stealing.

Ok, I have to say that the version before this one(I played it a few months ago) kinda made you go that way, the only way you could do anything was to either steal it, kill for money or transport.
Why can't they evolve the game to say become a store clerk, window washer, astronaut, anything. Why are we being forced into things that are usually not accepted.

So what would happen if this went on in the real world? What if one day you could get up and do anything without anything happening to you.

I hoped that the human race had progressed, but for some reason I feel that we are going backwards, not forwards.

Everyone wants money

The joy of taxes has hit me. What fun!
One pays the government every year to help everyone, that's ok, I got no problem with that. What they do in return is good, they keep the roads intact, give education to all ect.. Still if they are slightly slow at times.
However, what really puts icing on the cake is the fact that you have to fill out an insane amount of forms, to pay the company(government in this case) that runs your country. Those of us who run our own company it just gets better, even more forms to fill out.
Oh well, the internet has helped with completing this joy, a lot is already filled in.

In other news, Star Trek Gatekeeper is "public" so to speak. We have decided to break off and form our own little group.

I also just noticed I'm pimping GK a little much right now so I promise not to post another link in the next post.

Speakers Hurt

I found that speakers can hurt a lot if you don't use them correctly.
I helped out with some sound equipment at a local play that had been arranged and for no reason one of the speakers died. Fine I thought, checked all connections, power, signal ect. "ok I'll change it".
Me, being stupid, tried to take it off it's stand(which was higher than me) and I sorta dropped it on my head. I actually managed to catch it and I didn't really register it hitting me. It was only when I started to loose my balance and I noticed this warm substance trickle down the side of my head that I knew something wasn't quite right. Luckily the cut wasn't big and there was a nurse there who didn't think I needed a doctors visit. Oh well, I got to walk around looking like I had a bad accident.

On a lighter note, news today at Star Trek Gatekeeper
